Well, here we are.

I finally decided to make a personal blog for Jake and I while we're out here in Kentucky to keep in touch with our family and friends.  There isn't much going on right now but I'll post pretty often I'm sure since I'm working from home now and usually have some down time every day. 

Kentucky has been amazing so far.  It's so beautiful and green out here.  The weather this week has been awesome, in the 80's, but when we got here they had at least two record heat days for this time of year...around 97 degrees and really humid.  The sunsets are absolutely amazing and the sun is up forever since it doesn't have any mountains to compete with.  The rain and lightning storms are pretty intense too that we're experienced so far.  The other day the lightning and thunder never took a break, it just kept coming and coming, it was awesome. 

We haven't been doing much since we got here.  We got set up in our apartment quickly and I started working the week after we got here and have been getting more busy as I keep training.  I'm really liking this job though, it's probably the best job I've had in a long time in terms of my happiness.  They are so easy to work with it's not even funny. 

Jake will be starting school on July 1st so he'll be busy soon, even though we've been told that the summer semester for dental school is fairly easy and I think Jake will be happy to have classes again and to get this part of our lives started.  It's going to be a crazy four years (at least) but we're both looking forward to it.
